Lisa Nicholas, is an avid health advocate and plant-based eater. She was first in her early twenties when she found a love for the vegan culture, however she got off track after struggling to find enough satisfying substitutes for her cravings. Fast forward 25 years, Lisa was depressed, anxiety driven, and overweight while looking at the invitation to her son's wedding. She decided right then and there she needed a change. She found a coach that expressed the importance of good nutrition and who inspired her to achieve her goals. She put her heart and soul into changing her limiting mindset and started her quest for healthy eating. 

Lisa’s mission is to be able to offer a nutritious and delicious item as an alternative to meat. She sprinkles love and joy into every patty she makes and cannot wait to share her passion for the Beastie Burger with the world around her. 

Almost 3 years later, Lisa has found her fountain of youth! She is now in
the best shape of her life and follows a plant-based only diet, which she loves. On one cold evening, she was driving on Route 8 in her home state of Connecticut and had a Beastie epiphany that she needed to order a meat grinder. She found it extremely odd that this voice was telling her to
buy something she at the time, felt she had no use for. Still, she stuck
with her instincts and ordered it on Amazon, thinking she would find a
use for it with her favorite plant based proteins. 

When the meat grinder was delivered, she immediately started
experimenting with flavors and was thinking she would work with ground seitan. However, after trying it a few times and a few recipes, she quickly realized they actually came out better as patties! The first burger she made immediately became the traditional “beef” which is the Classic Beastie Burger and the most popular! Her son Stevie (non-vegan) was the first taste tester and thought it was also delicious, so she thought this could be a viable option for everyone. Lisa then introduced the Beastie to
her circle of plant based friends and when they loved it, she knew it could be a game changer.
